Leisure for All

Leisure for All offers a team of trained and experienced staff to support children and young people with disabilities and complex health needs to access a wide range of social and leisure activities, in the evenings, weekends and during school holidays.  Groups include: Youth Groups, Lego Groups, Beams Youth Group, Lunch & Leisure and Community and centre based school holiday activities. We also operate Childcare for Working Parents / After School Group: Mon to Friday 3pm - 5.45pm during term time.

Eligibility Criteria (Who is this service for?)

Leisure for All supports children and young people with disabilities and additional health needs, there are a range of services on offer to children and young people aged 5 to 18 years. Anyone can refer a child or young person with a disability or additional support need to the service

Costs

Details

Basic costs are £2 per hour to cover rent when based at our Community venue with groups running for different time lengths. When accessing the community, either with groups or as part of school holiday activities, parents pay only the true cost of the activity; ticket prices / contribution towards transport costs / meal cost - all staffing is provided by Wigan Council. After School Group / Childcare for working parents; £6.75 per session and includes a healthy snack as part of the session.

Our community base has a full hygiene suite; hoist and adult size changing bed. During school holidays we plan a number of activities to venues that offer full hygiene suites.
