Happy home-from-home environment, with friendly professional staff catering for the needs of the children and their families.
All of our staff are DBS checked, and all hold current Paediatric First Aid certificates. We have a registered nurse on site.
Our Chef prepares home cooked meals and caters for all dietary needs, both religious and health requirements.
We are lucky to have four large rooms, 0-1 2-3 & 3-4 catering for the individual needs of all children.
We have excellent working relationship with parents and outside agencies. Children have developed links with the elderly within our community and have had regular weekly visits at two local care homes. We hope to continue with this once things return to normal with the 'Covid' situation.
We are very flexible for those working shifts.
The children have continuous access to our large garden. All our rooms are large, and we have a light room with sensory activities. We are lucky to be within walking distance to the marina, canal and local parks and woodlands. Outdoor play is highly valued in our nursery, and children are encouraged to respect nature and the environment.
We are proud of our positive behaviour management techniques, and children learn to value and treat each other, and themselves, with respect. We follow 'In The Moment' planning, and know that children learn best when they are interested in what they are doing. The children lead their play, and are supported by positive, enthusiastic practitioners, who are aware of the children's next steps in their development, and provide enhancements to develop these areas.
All staff are fully qualified, and consistently complete Professional Development courses, as we want to keep on learning, which in turn benefits the children in our care.
We run 'The Rascals Holiday Club' during half terms and summer holidays. It is currently open from 9am-4.30pm, but hope to go back to our normal operating times of 7am-6pm in time.
