Little Rainbows’ Day Nursery is part of the St Bede's Childcare family and has achieved “Outstanding” status with Ofsted for the third consecutive time since opening in 2011. This was awarded most recently in November 2019. We have also recently been awarded Millie's Mark, an exceptional achievement for a childcare setting, as it shows we are going above and beyond minimum requirements in keeping children safe.

As a charity, our aim is to ensure that all children are ready for each transition in their life, whether that be to a new room in the nursery or to begin their journey to school. Our approach of individualised learning ensures that we can do this in a way which is age and developmentally appropriate for that child. Each child is viewed as an individual and the learning intentions are planned purposefully around your child’s interests.

We are here to provide quality care, education and the opportunity for continuity throughout your child’s early educational development. To help us achieve this, your child will have a key worker assigned to them.

We at Little Rainbows aim to offer parents an extension to their home, where children will be loved, cared for and educated to the highest standard, allowing parents to return to work knowing their child’s needs, likes and enjoyment are fully catered for.

At Little Rainbows, we aim to foster family and community values through good working relationships with local businesses and neighbours.

We regard parents/carers as partners, so if there are any areas of interest you wish to raise, our doors are always open to you to come and discuss things further.

Swimming lessons and Forest School sessions available for pre-school children.

All staff are fully paediatric first aid trained. Onsite defibrillator available.

Secure, age appropriate separate play areas children for younger and older children.

All meals provided, freshly prepared on site each day. Able to cater for children with allergies/dietary requirements.
