I have been a Childminder for 18 years and at my last inspection in July 2019, I was graded as an 'Outstanding' childcare provision. Before childminding I worked as a HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) at a local primary school for 10 years. I have two children aged 21 and 25 and two beautiful grandchildren who are 4 and 1. Over the years I have built up a wealth of knowledge and experience about childcare and education.
I am registered with Wigan Council to provide 15/30 hours funded places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds, depending on eligibility.
I provide a loving, caring, fun and educational homely environment for all children. I have a purpose built playroom and an outdoor play area which can be accessed throughout the year.
I am NNEB trained and in 2009, I obtained an Open University certificate (level 4) in Early Years Practice.
I provide before and after school places for children who attend Newfold nursery, Newfold primary school and St James' Catholic Primary School in Orrell.
I provide full and part time places for children aged 3 months - 11 years and I work both term time and school holidays.
