Joanne Lawrie
I am a qualified Nursery Nurse and have worked with children for the past 20 years. I became a childminder after having my own daughter 11 years ago. I live with her and my husband opposite Ashfield Park where we go and play, have picnics or feed the ducks in the conservation area.
We get out in the fresh air everyday by visiting the local play group, the library or walking to school. Our days at home can be filled with painting, gluing and sticking, singing, reading, doing jigsaws, games and playing outside with the cars, bikes, scooters or sand pit. I love my job and enjoy spending time with children and feel very proud when they leave me to go onto school knowing I have prepared them for their years ahead.
