We appreciate that choosing suitable childcare for your son or daughter can be difficult and quite an anxious time for you as parents/guardians. We hope that the relaxed and friendly atmosphere here at Hindley Brooklands Childcare will help make yours and your child’s experience at our nursery a natural and enjoyable one. We endeavour to create a homelike environment that allows your child to become a confident and empathetic individual within the community.

We offer places for children from as young as 6 weeks up until your child takes that next milestone into school life, which will occur the September following their 4^th birthday.

The nursery was purpose-built and was the fourth setting to open in the Brooklands chain. All rooms have been carefully designed and naturally decorated in order to create a calming and tranquil atmosphere, which facilitates communication-friendly spaces. This approach is designed to support children’s speaking and listening skills, emotional well-being and engagement, which underpin children’s overall learning and development. Theorists and childcare experts believe that by allowing natural sunlight and creating neutral play spaces we allow brain development to occur. The most important brain development takes place from birth to two years and will rapidly develop during the early years of your child’s life and by offering carefully designed play spaces we will meet the growing needs of the very youngest babies to the oldest pre-schoolers.

Your child’s learning will be supported and encouraged by our team of highly trained early year’s practitioners who follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to support your child’s development. We will work closely alongside you, as we believe it is both good parenting and supportive high quality childcare that build firm foundations for early years learning and development. We encourage children to make the most of their unique abilities and talents that will enable them to fulfil their ambitions and goals as they develop and grow up into young confident individuals.

Hindley St Peter's has practitioners who have specialist knowledge and training to support and encourage children’s communication skills. These language lead practitioners have received a national accreditation in promoting positive and effective communication from ELKLAN - a speech and language support programme for the under 5’s.

The setting benefits from our highly qualified management team who are qualified to degree level, and the Manager is also qualified as an Early Years Professional who works alongside and supports practitioners within our team. Our early years team receive regular and up-to-date training on all aspects of current childcare practice including support for children with additional needs.

We recognise that nutritious and well balanced meals are important and offer a varied menu which has been thoroughly checked through the Nutmeg system. All our food is locally sourced and freshly cooked onsite, so you can be assured that your child will be served good quality meals which have been recognised as we have received the Healthy Business Award. We cater for individual needs and provide suitable alternatives for weaning, children with food allergies or intolerances and any other special dietary requirements.
